Disgusting mortals, I am
back and for the past few months somethings really been bothering me. A couple
of years after humanity was created, my brother Hades kidnapped my niece
Persephone which would not have been such a bad thing, until her mother, my own
sister; Demeter stopped doing her job for half the year. The reason she
actually does her job for one half of the year is because for that part of the
year, her daughter can come from the depths of Tartarus and visit her mother.
Demeter was the goddess of harvesting which was important for you ugly mortals,
and I did not really care about it until I realized that her stopping
harvesting season meant for us to freeze! Its negative thirty degrees over here
and it's not going to get any warmer for another month or two.
The reason I feel bad
about this is because I had the final decision on the fate of my
niece. She ate half of a pomegranate and the rule is that if you eat anything
in the underworld, you can't leave. If these rules are not followed, peace and
order would be broken.
Though, I am the
king of Olympus! I can do whatever I want. If I really want, I can go over to
that depressing Demeter and make her do her job! Ha, being king is the best!
